From traditional production to scalable mass customization

How MercuryFlooring built a digital foundation that enables personalization, speed and growth.

The context

MercuryFlooring has been producing flooring solutions for over 38 years, with a strong focus on quality, care and long-term relationships.

In a market rapidly evolving toward personalization, digitalization and scalable processes, they needed a partner to guide them through complex transformations.

As a pioneer in their sector — with their Print-on-Demand platform Print Online — they wanted to further build an operating model that supports their growth ambitions.

With the right structure, embedded knowledge and a people-centered approach, they were able to realize those ambitions step by step.

The challenge

The shift toward smaller orders and customization required a completely redesigned digital foundation.

Customers expect flexibility, short lead times and a smooth digital ordering experience. That requires a different way of working and a foundation that evolves with this new reality.

The impact was broad: from IT and production to customer service, logistics and marketing. Not only technically, but also organizationally and commercially.

The Dibiz role

Clarity in complexity.

This is precisely where Dibiz has played a crucial role in digital and business transformation over the past five years.

Dibiz brings clarity to complexity.

By translating business needs into concrete frameworks, safeguarding priorities and ensuring all stakeholders — internal and external — remained aligned.

We combine strategic insight with a hands-on, human approach.

Dibiz stood alongside the teams: in practice, on the shop floor, and within the operational complexity. Not only in planning, but also in execution.

Our added value

Strategic acumen and human proximity.

What made the difference in this process was the combination of strategic acumen and proximity in the implementation. Direction and structure where necessary, flexibility when the process required it.

What had previously been unclear became clear: priorities, roles, decisions, and dependencies. Teams and partners were once again working in sync, at a pace that enabled progress without ignoring the realities of the workplace.

It didn't feel like external guidance, but rather like an extension of the internal team. Someone who thinks along with us, cooperates, and takes responsibility.

The partnership has grown along with MercuryFlooring's needs.

From idea to plan, developing value per feature and project.

From plan to execution, by optimizing work processes, project and program management, challenge & alignment with implementation partners, and change management.

After five years, we have achieved greater operational efficiency, a stronger digital foundation, and an organization that is ready for the next phase of growth in personalization and digitization.
